Two factors contribute to muscle growth:

- Protein intake which allows muscles to repair and growth.
Remember the human body runs off calories, if you dont treat it right it wont treat you right. If we deprive it, it ends up storing all the bad stuff (like fat) and self eating all the good stuff (muscle).

Females have to have about 12%-14% BMI - BodyMassIndex

Fat: 1 Calorie=9g
Protein: 1 Calorie=4g

Protein: Energy, builds and repairs tissue.

They have apps, you can also learn how to manually track it. Myfitnesspal is highly recommended. Its best to set an alarm for when your supposed to eat, every 3-4 hours to keep your metabolism high.
